THE PLACE OF IT IN ANY ORGANISATION
It is important to take note of the fact that IT in itself has very little inherent value for any company. It is simply a means to an end, the end being the storage, processing and retrieval of mission-critical and supportive information. However, when taking into consideration the extreme importance of information as a resource, it is clear that IT requires serious consideration in order to ensure that it fully supports, and even enhances, the value of the company’s information.
